A summary of the life of Elisha
Elisha was an Old Testament prophet who lived around 800 B.C. Elisha had a master named Elijah and he was very important in his life because Elisha was set to be a prophet when Elijah was going to die. After a few years of learning, Elisha would become God’s spokesman to the northern side of the kingdom; and he would perform signs, miracles etc. He would also from then on become known as the prophet of peace and healing. Elisha has performed miracles such as raising a widows son when he was dead, raising Shulamite’s dead son, healing Naaman’s skin etc.

~Elisha was the son of a man named Shaphat who lived in Abel-meholah, and he was a farmer.
~Elijah had been on the run from Queen Jezebel because he humiliated the god she believed in named Baal. After this Jezebel sent Elijah a message saying that she would kill him. When Elijah received her message he liked the idea of being dead but God spoke to him and told him to find Elisha instead.
~Elisha had asked Elijah if he could be the next leader of all the prophets. Elijah told him he would be able to if he was able to watch him get taken into heaven by God. After Elisha watched god take away Elijah he did become the leader of prophets.

Moira Kelly is like prophet Elisha because they where both inspired to become who they are by other people,Moira being inspired by mother Theresa and Elisha being inspired by Elijah. Moira Kelly and Elisha are similar because they both want to help and heal people such as Elisha healing healing the widows dead son and Moira Kelly helping heal 350 kids with her foundation. Moira Kelly is like prophet Elisha because they both share similar values which include leadership, meaningful work, determination, challenge, contribution and faith. another reason the two are similar is because they both are both leaders of good causes like how Elisha is the leader of prophets who are people who perform miracles and help others and Moira is the leader of the children's first foundation.
